This ministry is holistic by its very nature.
When you think of families in general they are
made up of many members, all different. This is
true of the Church, which is why Christ himself
uses the parallels of family life and living to
mirror theChurch and how He is not only the head
of the Church but how much He loves the Church.
For example Christ is the Head of the Church and
the Father is the head of his household.
As Church itself
consists of people and families consist of people
it is a fore gone conclusion that Church is about
families
and the roles individuals play within the unit
to make it a successful one
Every Ministry
within Gloucester Street is working at making
sure the family as a whole is catered for in their
programmes from children to the Golden Agers.
It is important
to point out that family ministry is a life style
just like Christian living. Some of the failings
today in our society is down to the lack of support
for parents, couples, children and singles in
life skills. This aspect was even identified and
catered for in the word of God, when we are told
the older teaching the younger and train the child
in the way he should go, that when he is old he
will not depart.
Therefore, family’s
ministry endeavours to take the word of God and
His blue print for life, which is equally as relevant
today as it was when it was written and apply
it to lives at grass root levels.
I pray you will
not only be part of this family but take your
rightful role and place within it to the Glory
of Him the Most High God.
